- Step 4
We made a fearless inventory of our excuses.
And noticed most of them were about how we'd feel, not what we could do.
Grab your phone and write down every reason you've skipped in the last month. Be honest; nobody's reading this list but you. Too tired. Too busy. Knees. Boring. The show was on. You'll start Monday.
Now look at the list and notice what most of them have in common: they're about how you expected to feel, not what you were physically able to do. Expected boredom, expected embarrassment, expected tiredness. Predictions, not facts.
For each one, write the smallest possible counter-move. Tired: slowest speed for five minutes. Bored: save one show for the belt. Knees: flat incline, shorter walks, and a question for your doctor. You're not arguing with yourself anymore, you're planning.
Write down your top three excuses and one tiny counter-move for each. Keep the note on your phone.
