We want every walker to be able to use this site, whatever device, eyesight, hearing or mobility they have.
What we aim for#
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What we do#
- Every build runs an automated accessibility check (axe, via Lighthouse) and fails if it drops.
- Every page is checked for valid HTML and broken links before it goes live.
- Keyboard support: skip links, visible focus, and shortcuts on the timer (press ? on the homepage).
- Text size buttons (A− / A+) on every guide, and the site follows your device's reduced-motion setting.
- The timer can speak and vibrate as well as showing the time.
Known limits#
- The timer's text is in English on the Spanish pages.
- The sign-in page is hosted by Microsoft and follows their accessibility standards.
- Ads are served by Google and may not meet the same standard.
