Small spaces
You don't need a home gym. You need a few feet of floor and a plan.
Measure first#
Allow about 2 feet free on each side and about 6 feet behind the belt for safety. Check the folded size and the weight too.
Your options#
- Folding treadmills: full size, fold upright when you're done.
- Walking pads: slide under a bed or sofa, but no handrails, so they suit steady walkers.
- Compact treadmills with short rails: a middle ground.
Where to put it#
Near an outlet (avoid extension cords), on a level floor, facing a TV or window if you can. A mat protects floors and cuts noise.
Make it easy to start#
If you have to unfold and wheel it out every time, keep it as close to ready as you can. Friction kills habits.
