Walking with migraines
For many people, regular moderate exercise is part of migraine prevention. Sudden hard effort can be a trigger, so ease in.
Warm up slowly#
Start at an easy pace for a few minutes. Avoid jumping straight to brisk.
Mind the triggers#
Drink water, eat beforehand, keep the room cool, and dim bright screens if light bothers you.
During an attack#
Rest. Walking through a migraine usually makes it worse.
Track it#
Note walks and migraines in the journal to spot patterns, and share them with your doctor.
